Keep Camping Stress Free With Metal or Plastic Tent Pegs

Camping is one of my favourite activities.  I love to just escape into the wilderness for a few days and be all alone with nature.  One thing I do hate about camping is thinking I am fully prepared and than finding out I am not.  Sometimes I may forget one of the coolers or not pack enough warm clothes or blankets.  Sometimes it is the camping tent pegs I forget and trust me; this is something you do not want to do especially when bad weather hits!

Set of 12 Large 10″ Galvanized Steel Tent Pegs – 8mm

At times when I have forgotten to bring enough tent pegs, I have been caught in wind storms where my tent either almost blows away completely or just collapses with me in it.  Other times, I do not have enough pegs to properly anchor the tent in a way that would keep rain out and I wake up in a giant puddle or worse, in a river.  Sometimes, a combination of both has me waking up in the morning with myself and all my gear floating underneath a collapsed tent.  No matter what the scenario, the outcome is not good and can cause a lot of stress at a time when you should be enjoying yourself!  Tent pegs can be a trip saver as long as you remember to pack them.  A great way to remember them is to always keep your pegs either in your tent bad with your tent or nearby with all your other gear so you will automatically pack it.

There are many different types of tent pegs available on the market and all have their negatives and positives.  Metal ones are great for getting through rocky terrain and hold great but plastic tent pegs are usually bigger and easier to work with and also hold very well.  They can be bought anywhere where camping gear is sold and for the small price that is charged for them, it is well worth it, trust me!
