For people who experience them, panic attacks are a very serious thing. Managing panic attacks is something that is more of a necessity for sufferers than a convenience. Many people who experience panic attacks find themselves making frequent visits to the emergency room because they believe they are having heart attacks. Certainly it is better to be safe than sorry in a situation like that, but it would be better still if the situation could be avoided completely.
People who suffer from panic attacks often struggle with not only feelings of panic from certain situations, but also from the fear that they might lose control at some point. That is a scary thought indeed. Of course common symptoms like feeling dizzy, having tightness in one’s chest, and feelings of extreme anxiety can also be indicators of very serious, life threatening occurrences, to they should always be checked out by a physician.
